Offshore Helidecks
Weight limitations and high maintenance costs are the two main
challenges the offshore industry is facing today. It is essential that
offshore structures are high in strength but are low in weight and require
minimal maintenance.
Bayards designs, engineers, fabricates and installs helidecks for any type
of vessel and platform. A helideck assembly kit can be delivered to the
client’s yard anywhere in the world and thereafter assembled by a local
workforce under Bayards’ supervision. Alternatively, we can assemble the
helideck at Bayards’ production facilities and deliver it turn-key. Bayards’
designs are approved by DNV, BV, ABS and LRS and the helidecks are
compliant with international standards, such as CAP 437, ICAO, NMD,
NORMAM 27 and NORSOK.

At Bayards, we recognize the versatility of aluminum. Besides the engineering flexibility that this material
offers, it is possible to provide aluminum structures that are up to 60% lighter than their steel equivalents. More
importantly, aluminum is seawater resistant; hence, it is completely maintenance-free. Altogether, these properties
make aluminum the perfect solution for the Offshore Industry.
We proudly work together with leading contractors such as Hyundai, Samsung, Daewoo and Keppel. In partnership
with renowned engineering houses, we are involved in projects for established names such as BP, Statoil, Shell,
ONGC and ExxonMobil.
For these, and many other clients, we have successfully delivered living quarter structures, helidecks and stair
towers for numerous prestigious projects around the world. When it comes to the Offshore Wind Industry, we are
involved in projects for key players, such as DONG Energy, Vattenfall and Siemens.

To strengthen our commitment, we have drawn up a quality management system according to ISO 9001, and our
production control is in accordance with EN-1090-1 for CE-marking (when applicable).
Additionally, we have Health, Safety and Environment procedures and policies in place, which comply with current
legislation.

Up until the 90’s, steel was the go-to material in the Oil and Gas Industry. However, that has changed. Due to the
