  • Located in the company's technology centrer the EMKA test laboratory offers a wide range of measuring and
    testing procedures – always taking into account the high-quality requirements for locks, hinges and seals. EMKA
    has now been accredited by the Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH – DAkkS) (The German National
    Accreditation Body) for ten selected test procedures. According to the standard DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025, it
    confirms the competence in the performance of material, life cycle and environmental simulation tests. The test
    laboratory thus meets all legal and normative requirements at the highest international level.
    The facility has extensive equipment: from the water jet and dust test system, a salt spray and climate chamber
    on a spectral analyser to the tensile tester. The focus is on numerous processes in the field of environmental
    simulation testing, technical and mechanical testing of fittings as well as material analysis and life tests. Among
    other things, the DAkkS examined the quality management system of EMKA, selected measuring equipment and
    the implementation of test procedures by trained personnel. In a technical audit and a system audit, DAkkS
    employees assessed the conditions in the EMKA Technology Centre.
    They also tested the expertise of the laboratory staff and issued the relevant notification after successful
    completion of the accreditation process. Subsequently, the DAkkS confirmed that EMKA possesses technically
    trained personnel as well as the technical and organizational abilities to carry out selected tests in accordance
    with the relevant standards and laws. Accredited to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025, the test laboratory is now an
    accredited conformity assessment body.
  • The future presented on 280 m2: At HANNOVER MESSE 2019 EMKA presents the entire portfolio of electronic
    locking systems including several new solutions. In addition to further developments such as the eCam Safety or
    the Agent-E as well as proven products from EMKA's portfolio of single-point and multi-point locks, the trade fair
    presentation will focus in particular on the range of full locking systems including monitoring features for switch
    cabinets and server cabinets. Those interested will find the global market leader at Stand D30 in Hall 12 for the
    first time this year.
    EMKA has further developed its proven eCam solution in the new eCam Safety variant especially for the field of
    mechanical engineering. The eCam secures doors and flaps in risk areas such as those surrounding switch
    cabinets or machines. The standard door Cam latch and the electronically controlled eCam tongue lock are
    electronically monitored and controlled to prevent unauthorized opening. eCam Safety is now TÜV-certified. The
    new version of the eCam includes redundant sensor elements to achieve the performance levels specified in the
    EU machinery directive.
    The Agent-E is therefore one of the tried and tested long-lasting products in the EMKA portfolio of electronic
    locking solutions. In combination with the EMKA software, the electromechanical handle with wireless technology
    enables controlled access for authorised persons. The technology monitors and logs every opening and closing
    process. EMKA has now equipped the further developed Agent-E with an optical push-button, thus once again
    significantly optimizing its user-friendliness. In addition, two new optional reader modules have been added to the
    system so that additional card types can be used for ID card authorization.
  • Enhancement of the program for hygienic areas and adding a solution that complies with the hygienic requirements according to EHEDG (European Hygienic Engineering Design Group).
    AISI 303 for the food sector and AISI 316 for the food and medical sector:
    Both versions comply with the hygienic requirements according to DIN EN 1672-2; DIN EN 14159 and EHEDG
    Doc.8. The DGUV certification is being prepared.Both versions are now provided with a radial, flush mounted flat
    seal and a more rounded insert head to ensure improved hygienic properties. The flat seal fulfils the
    requirements of the FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 and VO 1935/2004. In addition, for a highly practical cleaning option,
    the insert edges have been rounded off, which represents a further positive added value in the direction of
    hygiene requirements. Both quarter turns fulfil the hygienic requirements according to DGUV and EHEDG. The
    DGUV test and certification is in preparation.
