    Oilfield Equipment Marketing, Inc. (OEM, Inc.) brings greater inspection capacity to portable nondestructive testing device. 

    The portable ARTIS-3 nondestructive testing system is now capable of transverse (service induced defects) and wall loss inspection of tubulars from 2-3/8” OD through 13-3/8” OD OCTG and drill pipe.                 

    According to VP of Engineering Brian Edens, "This increased capability is a boon for those companies wishing to field inspect OCTG above 6-5/8” OD for transverse defects and wall loss (loss of metalic area)."                   

    The OEM, Inc. Patented ARTIS-3 portable, EMI system employs specialized methods to detect service induced defects such as holes, fatigue cracks and stress risers  along with several loss-of-metalic area (LMA) conditions.  Added Edens, "These LMA defects include localized corrosion pitting; large areas of corrosion/erosion and cross-sectional area, thick/thin wall monitoring."

    Oilfield Equipment Marketing, Inc. (OEM) offers Explosion Proof Well Head Nondestructive Tubing Inspection System

    The ARTIS-4 Trip Tool Inspection System (TTIS) is now available in an explosion proof enclosure.  This nondestructive testing system is engineered to detect all of the six (6) service induced defects in used production tubing as it is ‘tripped’ from the well during workover.

    Service induced defects include: PITTING;  SPLITS (through wall); External/ Localized CORROSION; FLAW DETECTION (holes); RODWEAR and CROSS-SECTIONAL AREA/EVEN WEAR due to sucker rod wear or even fluid erosion.

    This Electromagnetic Inspection system provides 100% true non-contact inspection and is the only device of its kind.  Patents cover the methods used in detection of the six (6) types of defects detected.

    Maximum capacity to 5-1/2” OD allows the ARTIS-4 TTIS to inspect all sizes of production tubing and small casing.

    Safety Rated, Class 1 Division 2 is an ‘off the shelf’ design and is afforded to all purchasers at this level.  Consequently, all ARTIS-4 TTIS systems purchased are safety rated to their respective classifications.  The explosion proof Class 1 Division 1 is an upgrade.

    Additionally, OEM, Inc. offers the same safety designs in its supplemental noncontact SUCKER ROD Inspection System (SRIS).  Now sucker rod can be evaluated as it is pulled from the well during work over.

    Both the ARTIS-4 TTIS and the ARTIS-4 SRIS provide the end user with the latest technological, patented, advancements in nondestructive testing of used production tube and used sucker rod.
