  • GOWell introduces the Aurora DTS Pro solution, a tool aimed at in-well distributed-temperature-sensing (DTS) applications. The Aurora DTS Pro is a simple-to-operate, rugged DTS interrogator targeting well-surveillance applications such as leak detection and flow profiling. Aurora DTS Pro features a built-in battery for self-contained operations and works with any Windows-compatible laptop. The DTS acquisition software features simple setup and use; real-time data can be quality-controlled on screen at the wellsite, with data output to a series of time-stamped industry-standard LAS files. In partnership with Interpretive Software Products, GOWell is offering PLATO-DTS, a comprehensive data-analysis software package with focus on quantitative temperature interpretation. Aurora DTS Pro is fully compatible with PLATO-DTS as an enhanced solution to rapidly visualize and interpret DTS data.

  • The enhanced Pipe-Thickness Detector Tool (ePDT)  is GOWell’s latest multiple concentric-pipe metal thickness and hardware locator evaluation instrument.    Featuring a new patented sensor array and unique analysis algorithms, data quality and pipe size range capabilities are significantly improved.  Simultaneous data can be acquired for up to 5 concentric pipes from 2-7/8 in. to 26 in. O.D., with total metal thickness of 3.5 in.  In addition, the 2” O.D. ePDT is fully combinable with GOWell’s Pegasus instruments, including Multi-Finger Imaging Calipers (MFC), Array Noise Tool (ANT), Production Logging Tools (PLT) and Digital Radial Bond Tool (RBL).  This combinability permits pipe thickness, leak detection, multi-phase flow and cement quality data to be simultaneously acquired during a single descent.

  • The 1-11/16” OD ANT is GOWell’s next generation wireline-conveyed leak detection and fluid movement evaluation instrument.  Broad-spectrum sound data is recorded while ascending or descending in the wellbore.  The real-time surface read-out tool utilizes an orthogonal array of broad-band acoustic sensors.  Innovative combination of differential measurements allows excellent rejection of extraneous “road noise” caused by tool movement.  Data acquisition time is significantly reduced in a host of sound source and leak path detection logging applications.  Cutting edge machine learning algorithms facilitate more precise location of weak and remote downhole sound sources and paths.  ANT is combinable with all other PEGASUS series well integrity and production logging instruments.  For example, analysis of likely leak sources and paths is enhanced by combining ANT with GOWell’s MTD or ePDT series pipe evaluation instruments - pipe connections and other completion hardware, which are oftentimes likely leak sources, can be located and correlated to ANT noise anomalies.
