  • Application

    The 1.25” DXB Quartz II has the largest diameter barrel of all the quartz gauges, which allows for a larger battery to run the gauge for extra-long term tests; typically for jobs 6 months to 1 year in duration. The 1.25” Quartz DXB II is characterized by its electron beam welded sensor, and maximized temperature response due to the geometry of the sensor. The gauge also has a triple o-ring connection and metal to metal seal that prevents leaks from entering. The board is shock mounted in a long term reliability package to protect your data from vibration and drops and extend electronics life.

    The DataCan Program and Download Software is equipped with the fastest graphing package available that is both customizable and easy to use. Additionally the battery calculator, found under utilities, helps users calculate battery life for their tool with a few simple clicks, eliminating any guesswork.

    The Coil Force Gauge is designed to capture and record the downhole forces applied to your coil tubing string and bottom-hole assembly. The Coil Force Gauge acts as a black box recording device to assist engineers in understanding what is happening downhole. The Coil Force Gauge measures up to 80,000 pounds of tension and compression, 15,000 psi internal and external pressure, and 350°F. Additionally, the tool is robust enough to withstand multiple 50G acceleration events. The memory capacity allows for the tool to capture 8 days of data sampling 10 times per second. 

    There is no better way to know what actual forces are being transmitted downhole.

  • Application

    DataCan’s Distributed Temperature Sensor (DTS) and Distributed Acoustic Sensor (DAS) suites are industry leaders in reliability and performance. With both DTS and DAS, an optical fibers serve as both the sensing element and the transmission element. The measurement system is comprised of one or more optical fibers and an optional electrical conductor combined together in a single ruggedized cable that is clamped to the tubing over the length of the well. 

    Features
    • Complexity and expense is reduced through the use of a single cable to run electrical and fiber-optic sensors.
    • DTS, DAS and Electrical gauges can be deployed simultaneously.
    • Electrical temperature probes can be deployed along with DTS to provide fully redundant temperature measurements.
    • Electrical pressure probes can be deployed along with DTS to provide a complete temperature and pressure profile of the well.
    • Measurement speed and spatial resolution can be tuned to the application. 0.5m spatial resolution, 0.01°C temperature resolution and a range of 30 km are achievable.
