  • FutureWaves™ - Wave and Vessel Motion Forecasting
FutureWaves is a new and innovative system that uses a specialized wave-radar to provide detailed wave information and the resultant vessel motion forecasts in real-time for minutes into the future....

  • FutureWaves™  -  Know Your Ocean

FutureWaves™ uses a specialized wave-radar to provide detailed wave information and the resultant vessel motion forecasts in real-time.  While conventional sea-state weather-based forecasting methods use statistical data patterns and scattered buoys to give a rough estimate of significant wave height and direction over a general span of time, FutureWaves™ revolutionizes wave forecasting in being the first and only system that provides accurate data specific to the waves in the vicinity of a vessel.

It has the ability to assess the wave field up to a 5km radius of a vessel and deterministically forecast the precise wave interactions with the vessel for minutes ahead of time; allowing you to know what motions are expected before they occur.   Not only does this information provide you with the best heading and speed guidance to minimize vessel motions, but it provides motion timing information for key offshore operations such as asset launch and recover, crane operations, and feed-forward systems.

  • CHAMP System
The CoHerent Acoustic Modulatable Projector (CHAMP) System comprises an array of electro-acoustic projectors which are towed, controlled, and powered from a survey vessel....

  • The CHAMP System employs a variety of floatation concepts that make it adaptable for shallow- and deep-water surveys, as well as surveys in the Arctic.  It can also tailor the acoustic signal to meet seismic survey goals with little impact to marine environments.

The CHAMP System is part of thee Marine Vibrator Join Industry project ("MVJIP") with system development funded by ExxonMobil, Shell, and Total and is closely associated with U.S. Patent No. 9,562,982 issued in February of 2017.  Additional domestic and international patents are pending.

For more infomration on the CHAMP System, please contact us at marinevibrator@aphysci.com.
