Come and meet the team at stand 1639F in the UK Pavilion.

Founded in 1962, Fluorocarbon is a global expert in high-performance plastics and their application in sensitive and extreme environments. We specialise in the design and manufacture of many complex machined components, Bridge Bearings, Sealing Solutions, Slide Bearings, Generator Hose, Subsea Bearings, Skidway Systems, & High-Performance Coatings.

  • Sealing Solutions
With a wide selection of materials and configurations already in our range of products, we have produced seals and bearings to seal at extremes of pressure over 30,000 psi, velocities over 15m/s and temperatures from a few Kelvin to over 1200°F...

  • At Fluorocarbon we are dedicated to the manufacture of high performance sealing solutions and bearings to suit your specific needs.

Seals can be provided in a range of PTFE and high-performance polymer materials, specified to meet and exceed the demands of the application.

We offer custom solutions for use throughout many industries including chemical, pharmaceutical, food processing, aerospace, automotive and offshore.

Manufactured for use in the most demanding conditions our seals offer the following benefits:

    • Excellent chemical resistance
    • Wide operating temperature range
    • Very low coefficient of friction
    • No stick/slip effect
    • High resistance to wear
    • Good dry running properties

Whether a standard seal or a custom requirement, our dedicated technical team can provide you with innovative and effective solutions to your needs.

  • Slide Bearings and Skidway
Utilising our range of Fluorinoid® load bearing low friction materials for over 30 years, we have gained a global reputation for providing slide bearing, pipe supports and skidway solutions to the construction and oil industries....

  • Fluoroglide® PTFE slide bearings are implemented to solve problems of a structure that moves as a result of thermal, seismic or differential force. PTFE Slide bearings operate at high loads and low speeds, and it is under these conditions that the self-lubricating properties of Fluorinoid® PTFE are at a maximum.

This, together with its no stick-slip and anti-weathering characteristics, is the main reason why Fluorinoid® PTFE has proved successful as a material for Fluoroglide® PTFE slide bearings.

Normally, a slide bearing consists simply of two pads of PTFE sliding against each other; for very high-pressure applications, a single pad may be used to counterface a polished stainless steel plate. The assembly is manufactured so that one pad (generally the top pad) is larger than the other by an amount in excess of the expected movement, so keeping the contact area constant throughout the cycle of motion.

  • Rod and Tube
Specialising in high quality PTFE compression moulded and extruded rod and tube, we offer a wide range of diameters and lengths suitable for today's modern machining....

  • We specialise in high quality PTFE rod and tube suitable for today’s modern machining.

Using the company's Fluorinoid® materials register of over 200 filled PTFE grades and our in-house blending facilities, we work with customers to develop and blend grades to suit specific applications.

Using our specialised processing equipment and wide tooling range we are able to convert high performance and melt fluoropolymer plastic materials into rod and tube post machining or low to high volumes of moulded components.

Available in materials including PEEK, PCTFE and FEP, our range of products includes extruded and hot compression moulded rod, heavy tubing and moulded products.

Combining this with our finished component design and machining facilities we have the competitive advantage of offering a cost effective end-to-end service.
