    As leading innovators in centralizer design, Centek understands the need for a close tolerance centralizer for use in tight annulus applications, where narrow margins between pore pressure and the fracture gradient exist. In deepwater operations centralizers must compress virtually flat to allow travel through a series of tight casing strings but still be capable of expanding to the designed open-hole size.

    The endbands (or rings) on Centek close tolerance centralizers are manufactured to very tight tolerances where the ID of the centralizer is only 0.030 in. over the maximum casing OD. They are also manufactured with superior roundness which allows for closer hugging of the casing.

    Centek close tolerance centralizers are designed with a precisely formed cross bow curvature so there are no “knife edges” (common among standard bow spring centralizers) as the bows are inserted into a subsea well head or supplemental adapter in deepwater drilling operations reducing the risk of subsea well head damage. This also adds additional strength to the bows.

    The rugged, single piece design of Centek close tolerance centralizers ensures no point loading of a single bow (common among welded/integral lock bow spring centralizers) occurs during RIH. Centek close tolerance centralizers evenly distribute the axial and radial loads throughout the entire unit as they are applied during close tolerance casing running operations.

    Centek close tolerance centralizers are available in UROS-CT, TUR-CT and TUR HD-CTdesign.

  • Developed in partnership with Ace Oil Tools, the CentrAce is an innovative new product created for Deepwater wells. It combines a low profile Ace stop collar with a close tolerance Centek centralizer. It is designed for use in deepwater tight tolerance applications as an over pipe, pulled in, rotational method of centralization thus reducing the dependency on subs. It is also well suited for use in under-reamed applications and ideal for wash-out sections, as the centralizer OD is over sized, or, as a simple unit of choice when running standard OCTG casing sizes.

    • The CentrAce tool is designed to deliver tailored casing solutions to achieve total depth and dependable barriers
    • The CentrAce’s unique integrated Ace stop collar means only one stop collar is needed

  • The Centek Centralizer Sub is designed to be run as part of a tight tolerance casing string in deepwater, ultra-narrow annulus applications.

    The Centek Centralizer Sub is fitted with a close tolerance centralizer of either UROS-CT or TUR-CT design.

    In both options the Sub centralizer’s single piece construction eliminates the risk of failure associated with a welded bow to end band type designs. This, coupled with precise manufacturing, enables the centralizer sub to rotate within the centralizer at minimal torque values.

    The unique interlocked band design means that the strength of the centralizer end-bands does not depend on quality or installer skill, but is as strong as the single piece of steel used in Centek’s centralizers. In addition, the weld pocket recesses are designed to ensure there is no need for a pronounced weld bead with the risk of friction grinding the bead down and weakening the weld.

    Each sub centralizer is manufactured with minimal clearance to the casing and with a precisely formed cross bow curvature so that there are no “knife edges” (common among standard bow spring centralizers) which reduces the risk of subsea well head damage. Both the UROS-CT and TUR-CT versions can recess completely into the sub body during operation and so pass through the tightest of restrictions.

    The sub body, manufactured to API 5CT requirements, will meet or exceed burst, collapse and tensile ratings and will be threaded to fit the casing string. Centek has the capability to supply sub bodies tailored to meet customer specifications.
