ARCA quality engineered control valves!

ARCA develops, manufactures and markets control valves on an international scale primarily for the chemical, pharma, food, power, steel, paper and oil and natural gas industries.

  • Powerpack PP-130 resp. PP-1.3 Actuators
Powerpack PP-130 resp. PP-1.3 completes the actuator portfolio...

  • In order to complete its portfolio Arca has developed two new pneumatically activated actuators, on the one hand the so far smallest actuator „PP-1.3“ with a diaphragm surface of only 8,68 sqin and on the other hand the so far biggest actuator „PP-130“ with 434 sqin diaphragm surface.

The actuator PP-1.3 is fully welded, made from stainless steel and especially designed for smaller nominal widths DN25-50 with a valve stroke of 16-20 mm. Despite its small actuator surface the PP-1.3 is a power pack and reaches a control force of 1,3 kN.  In the actuator yoke the well-known Arca interface for direct mounting of Arca positioners is integrated. It is also conform to the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EG. The PP-1.3 is designed for the use in the beverage and food as well as in the chemical industry.

PP-130 is a piston actuator that can depending on the application be realized single-acting with spring return or double-acting with and without spring return. Thereby control forces up to 129 kN are reached. The stroke range is between 180 and 250 mm. This makes this actuator adequate for control valves DN500-700. Such valves are used for example in the bypass range of huge compressors protecting the gas turbine. In order to reduce construction height, in the double-acting actuator the pressure spring has been integrated into the pressure chamber. Compared to the previous construction the control time could be reduced to < 2 seconds and the overshoot could be reduced to half value at equal setting time.

  • ARCA-Onsite
INNOVATION: Product Documentation Available Anytime, Anywhere World-wide...

  • The problem is as old as the printed operating manual – if urgently needed the technical documentation is not at hand. The company ARCA Regler now developed for that purpose a simple, but effective solution.

Especially with big projects an extensive documentation, consisting of product data sheets, operating instructions, schematics, approvals and test certificates, is often required and generated. Due to the experience with recurring documentation requests there is reason to doubt, if and to what extent this documentation is in the end available to the end user and especially the persons concerned (operating and maintenance personnel) when needed.

The by Arca developed software ARCA-ONSITE now offers a perfect solution for this problem: All control valves with incoming orders from 1.4.2017 will be equipped with a supplementary label, which allows by means of a QR-code the direct access to the overall contractually order documentation for exactly one specific valve. Even later modifications of this valve will be comprehensible represented in ARCA-ONSITE – as far as known to or conducted by Arca. Therewith searching for important documentation has an end.

For customers exists also anytime the possibility to have a look at the documentation at Arca’s website Downloads.

  • Anti-surge valves
Arca Regler Delivers Five Anti-Surge Valves to Mexico...

  • Arca Flow Controls in Houston/ Texas, the US subsidiary of Arca Regler GmbH/ Germany, received last year an order in the US for the delivery of several large anti-surge control valves. The delivery of the valves now took place beginning of this year. The valves are designed for several compressor lines in Mexico, that are supposed to go on line in winter 2017 or beginning of 2018.

The anti-surge globe-type control valves come from the proven Ecotrol® modular parts system. The valves have to prevent the compressors from pumping in stressful situations in the plant. They also prevent an airflow disruption at the compressor blades in order to preclude damages at the compressor.

The compressor lines each consist of one single-screw compressor and are driven by a gas turbine. Two lines will be installed in a pipeline station in La Laguna in the Mexican federal state Coahuila. The other three lines are set aside for a pipeline compressor station in Villa de Reyes in the federal state of San Luis Potosi.

The pipelines will deliver natural gas to CFE (Comisión Federal de Electricidad) power stations as well as industry plants. The compressor stations output serves a pipeline of about 1,500 kilometers length that transports the natural gas from the North into the country’s inland.

For the supplier’s choice of the anti-surge valves on the one hand deep application knowledge, the competitiveness as well as reliability and the easy to maintain clamping seat design have been decisive. Arca Regler offers most advanced solutions for anti-surge control valves and can look back on a huge knowledge and wealth of experience. The continuous development of the Ecotrol ® modular parts system further allows to satisfy the growing demands of the compressor manufacturers market. A high flow rate, low noise level, fast reaction times as well as high control accuracy are only few advantages that this modular parts system distinguishes from others.
