 Press Releases

  • Precision Associates, Inc. (“PAI”) is excited to announce that Bradley Arnold Kadue has been named its new President, effective 12/14/2017.  This announcement represents the conclusion of the transition plan which was announced to the company earlier this summer.

Brad started his career as a CPA performing audit work in the Atlanta, GA office of Deloitte.  He left Deloitte in 2005 to accept the role of Controller at PAI’s subsidiary, Sil-Pro, LLC in Delano, MN.  For the past 5 years, he has held the position of Vice President of Finance, serving as a company executive, and managing the financial aspects of the combined PAI and Sil-Pro entity.

The company commemorated the transition at a “Passing the Keys to the Company” ceremony held in front of nearly 200 of the company’s employees and retirees.  The ceremonial keys were presented to Brad by the outgoing President, Paul Arnold Kadue.  Paul has served the company in the role of President and Chairman of the Board since 1996 and will continue to work at the company on a part-time basis as well as to serve as its Chairman.

Brad represents the 3rd generation of his family to lead the company in the role of President.  He follows his grandfather and founder Arnold Edward Kadue, and then his uncle Paul Kadue.  In his comments to those gathered, Brad paid homage to the family-oriented nature of the business by thanking the retirees for their attendance and continued involvement with the PAI family, as well as recognizing the commitment of the current employees to the company’s core values which are expressed as an acronym of the founder’s name: Achieve and Excel with Kindliness.

  • Electric Submersible Pump Bags
Electric Submersible Pumps (ESP) are one type of artificial lift system used in oil wells to pump fluids to the surface. Elastomer bags function as protectors of the motor within the system and are molded from compounds developed for down-hole use. <br /><br />...

  • Electric Submersible Pump bags act as protectors of the motor within the system.  The bag, manufactured from a high temperature, high performance elastomer, is positioned to separate the well fluids on the outside from the clean motor oil inside.  The elastomer provides the flexibility necessary for thermanl volume changes of the oil.  Selection of the proper rubber material for operating in the well environment is critical to performance.

ESP bags are molded from compounds developed especially for down-hole use including ALFAS®, Viton®,HNBR, NBR, and FFKM.  Laser marking is available for part ID, batch and cure date, or compound information.

Precision Associates has 5 standard tools available and we can custom mold products to your specifications.

  • RGD Resistant Rubber Compounds
RGD Resistant rubber compounds are made to resist gas permeation. If gas is trapped in the seal, it will rush to escape when the pressure is released and rupture the part which will cause seal failure in the system....

  • Pressurized gas can permeate an elastomer seal within a well or other system.  If the pressure is released or decompressed rapidly, the gas rushes to exit the elastomer causing it to rupture.  This is known as Rapid Gas Decompression (RGD) or Explosive Decompression (ED).

Splits, cracks, and blisters are generally evident in the seal when this occurs but there can be internal damage that is not visible.(See photo.)

Measuring the resistance of a compound to RGD failure is typically done by an independent test lab utilizing a variety of industry standards.  Precision Associates has built a testing station that allows us to develop materials and test them before we send them to an independent test lab for official certification. We have materials that have passed the ISO 23936-2 Anex B standard and the NACE TMO 192-2012 tests.  We can mold standard AS568 O-Rings in these materials or a custom rubber part made to your print.
