The PCC Energy Group, a division of Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC), has acquired Wilhelm Schulz Group and its assets, including state-of-the art extrusion and cold working capabilities for manufacturing tube and pipe products for the Oil and Gas Industry located in Tunica and Hernando, MS and hydroforming processes to manufacture pipe fittings in Krefeld, Germany. These new assets complement PCC’s existing capabilities for the production of nickel and titanium components and augment our portfolio of products for the worldwide Oil and Gas market. The Tunica and Hernando sites (Schulz Xtruded Products), initially constructed in 2011, have been further enhanced with significant investments since the acquisition with the addition of a CNC ten roll straightener and an automated phased array NDT system. These additions, along with the existing 7700 MT horizontal extrusion press and one of the world’s largest pilger machines, have turned the facility into a center of excellence for the production of world-class, quality tubulars.
The newly revitalized PCC Energy Group, which draws upon the flawless execution and decades of experience in manufacturing of critical components for the aerospace and power markets of its parent company, PCC, is a vertically integrated manufacturer of OCTG, seamless pipe, fittings, and tube in high-performance corrosion resistant alloys, including Duplex and Superduplex grades in sizes from 2” up to 13” diameter.
