 Press Releases

  • ESI were thrilled to receive the title of Sensor Product of the Year at Datateams inaugural Instrumentation Excellence Awards back in October 2022. Let’s take a closer look at why the GD4200-USB is quickly becoming industries leading choice for digital pressure measurement solutions...

    1. Plug-in & Play

The unique “plug and play” nature of the unit allows you to be up and running viewing live pressure data within 10 minutes. The ESI-USB© software is available for direct download from our website straight to your laptop or PC, and is programmed to recognize your transducer by it’s serial number.

    2. Portable

Whether you are looking to perform test and calibration, spot checks or local, direct monitoring the GD4200-USB is the convenient solution. With no need for any additional hardware or software you can test and record data on-site, and easily disconnect and move across site where and when needed.

    3. SOS Sensor Technology

As with a lot of our portfolio, Silicon-on-Sapphire Sensor Technology is incorporated into the manufacture of the GD4200-USB. Because the silicon is grown onto the surface of the sapphire it is incredibly stable and exhibits virtually no hysteresis. With its outstanding insulation properties, the sapphire protects the strain gauge from electromagnetic pulse radiation, and allows the sensor to operate over a very wide temperature range without loss of performance.

    Advantages of SOS technology;

    • Titanium pressure diaphragm is welded to titanium threaded pressure port - no o-ring seals
    • High accuracy
    • High resistance to over-pressure (proof pressure) and pressure transients
    • Excellent chemical resistance
    • Stable at elevated temperatures
    • High sensitivity 10mV/V to 20mV/V
    • Pressures from -1 bar to 5000bar
    • Constructed using machined titanium parts
    • High pressure HP range is machined from a single piece of Titanium

    4. Wide Pressure Range

Available in Nine pressure ranges, carefully selected to enable the user to cover any pressure that the application requires, from vacuum up to 5,000 bar, via the use of the ESI-USB© digitally self-scaling software.

    5. High Speed and Accuracy

The GD4200-USB boasts a standard accuracy of 0.15% making it the ideal solution for high accuracy applications. The temperature co-efficiency is excellent, so no matter the temperature*, you can rely on the data that the GD4200-USB provides. The sample rate enables dynamic pressures to be measured with up to 21 bit resolution at user selectable speeds up to 1,000 Hz.

    6. Price

We all know how expensive data logging can be. The GD4200-USB transducer is an extremely cost-effective solution for monitoring and recording pressure data with no need for costly I/O interface boards.

    7. The Software

In addition to the outstanding pressure measurement performance of the GD4200-USB, what really makes this product stand out is the ESI-USB© software. Freely downloadable from our website, our software includes features such as easy leak-testing, temperature analysis, and auto-updating. Our users can operate with the peace of mind that they are always running with the most up to date and optimal version of software.

    8. Customized Report and Certificate Generator

Create on brand, professional test and report certification with ease. Using the ESI-USB© software you can create and save templates of personally branded test certificates and reports. These can be set up with user defined parameters, ensuring you are only ever presenting the data that’s most important to you, using your own company brand.

    9. Measure 16 Inputs at Once

Through the use of a USB hub, you can detect up to 16 independent pressure sources at any one time, each identifiable by the unique transducer serial number. Of course, these can be easily re-named within the software to allow the user to easily recognize pressure data sources.

    10. After-Sales Support

Our Technical Sales team are dutifully trained to know just about all there is to know about our ESI-USB. They are actively involved in the development schedule of the software and as always, are happy to help guide you through any questions you might have. We even offer on-site or teams training on the products so you can gain first hand knowledge and experience with you new kit.

If you would like more information on our products or training programs please contact our sales team on 561-989-8499 or email sales@sucoesi.com

*The operating temperature range of the GD4200-USB is as follows; Ambient: -20°C to +85°C, Media: -50°C to +125°C
