 Press Releases

  • Autoship Systems Corporation (ASC) of Vancouver, Canada in cooperation with their Norwegian Reseller, Coastdesign Norway (CDN) are pleased to announce their Autoload® – Jack Up version was chosen for installation onboard Seaway 7’s first self-propelled jack-up vessel, VIND 1. Autoload is also installed onboard their entire fleet of vessels which include open deck semi-submersible heavy transportation vessels, cable lay, heavy lift crane installation and Installation support vessels.

Located in Norway, Denmark, The Netherlands, Germany, United Kingdom and Taiwan, Seaway 7 specializes in the delivery of fixed offshore wind farm projects and provides heavy lifting and cable installation services. In 2022, Seaway 7 will deliver Alfa Lift, one of the largest custom-built offshore wind foundation installation vessels. VIND 1 launches in 2023 and will be capable of installing offshore wind turbines and XL monopile foundations.

“Seaway 7 will be using Autoload on their new vessels due to the tailor made functionality for jackup vessels and user friendly interface that the system offers.” says Bertil Rognes, Mission Equipment and Vessel Management Director. “We have been using Autoload across our fleet of semi submersible transportation vessels for many years and appreciate the service offered by their network around the world.”

ASC is a marine software developer of load planning software, loading instrument software and integrated CAD/CAM programs. For over 40 years ASC has continued to provide innovative software solutions that save customers’ time and money on each project they undertake.

    Product Information:

Autoload® Offshore is the latest generation of our onboard stability and simulation software. Whether you have a semi-submersible, jack-up, drill ship, TLP, Spar, or other offshore vessel, Autoload Offshore will meet all your loading, stability monitoring and strength requirements. Configured specifically for each rig, platform, or vessel, Autoload’s ability to simulate any current or anticipated loading condition will enable you to quickly verify stability, trim, drafts, and structural strength status.

Autoload-Jack up version is developed for the specific need for monitoring and simulation of stability and strength both for free floating (transit) condition as well as jacking up / preloading and elevated conditions.

  • Autoship Systems Corporation (ASC) of Vancouver, Canada has been developing software solutions for the marine industry for over 40 years. In addition to producing world-class loading instruments and load planning systems for the entire marine shipping industry, ASC also develops a CAD/CAM suite. The suite includes a number of integrated programs, each of which performs specific functions for vessel design and construction.

Tomay Design of Istanbul, Turkey has been successfully using Autoship Pro (hull design & surface modelling) for hull modelling and its counterpart Autohydro Pro (hydrostatics & stability) in engineering for several major projects for its clients. Projects include a Multi-Purpose Vessel, Oil Spill Recovery Vessel, Oil Product Tanker, Mooring Boat and a Heavy Lift Accommodation Barge which is currently under construction. This powerful CAD/CAM approach speeds up the engineering time from beginning to completion offering higher accuracies of fully faired hulls in Autoship Pro, then better definition of tanks by Autohydro’s Modelmaker. The stability report is then submitted for class approval.

Tomay’s Founder, Mr. T. Tombak and Lead Naval Architect Mr. B. Kabasakal remarks “We feel fortunate as a naval architecture and engineering office to be using these powerful software tools. As an engineering office we need to compete against other firms to deliver quality engineering drawings both in the bid phase and in the final package of drawings for the client. By using Autoship Pro first to define the hull shape and then a seamless import into Autohydro Pro, we’re working at a high level of efficiency that pleases our growing client list.”

  • Autoship Systems Corporation (ASC) of Vancouver, Canada is pleased to announce a new release of their market leading hydrostatics and stability software, Autohydro 6.11.

This latest version includes new features and improvements including:

    • Second generation stability criteria (level 2) (Multiple RA evaluated with wind/without wind condition)
    • Grain heeling moment calculation (produce grain heeling moment tables)
    • RA averaging calculation
    • Dynamic limit definition
    • Connection between intact tanks (previously for damaged tanks only)

Autohydro 6.12 is in beta and will be available later this year to clients that have an active Maintenance & Support Plan (MSP). New features include improvements to probabilistic data output as well as improvements to the Autoballast routine.

Autohydro Pro is the naval architect’s choice for producing stability books that output damage stability, longitudinal strength, and the IMO Subdivision Index in a user-friendly Windows environment. Autohydro can handle any vessel type and is a smooth entry to producing the onboard, real-time stability required by Class.

From excellent technical support, valuable updates, and a team of international Resellers, ASC has the right solution for you.

For over 40 years, ASC has developed premier design software solutions for naval architects and marine engineers on every continent. ASC also produces world-class loading instruments and load planning systems for the entire marine shipping industry.

 Products

  • The Autoship CAD/CAM Suite
The ASC CAD/CAM suite includes a number of integrated programs, each of which performs specific functions for vessel design and construction....

  • Autoship® hull design & surface modelling. The program uses Non-Uniform Rational B-Spline (NURBS) mathematics, the high-end CAD standard for surface modelling.

Autohydro®  is the state-of-the-art hydrostatics and stability program. It performs intact and damaged analyses and produces customizable stability reports which are accepted by all major approval bodies.

Autopower® for resistance & powering prediction. 12 independent resistance and propulsion methods for a variety of hull forms are offered.

Autoplate® for plate design, expansion & management system. The program performs plate expansion calculations for both developable & non-developable plates.

The Autostructure Group includes Autostructure® for vessel structure modelling and Production Manager™ for nesting and other production support.

  • Autohydro®: Hydrostatics and Stability
Autohydro® is the state-of-the-art hydrostatics and stability program. It performs intact and damaged analyses and produces customizable stability reports.

    ...

  • Autohydro is a complete hydrostatics and stability calculations program for naval architects, ship designers and marine engineers. A true 'floating simulator', Autohydro reports the reaction of the model to various conditions such as a loading configuration, a damage situation, conditions involving outside forces, wind or high speed turning momentum or some combination of these.

Autohydro can also be used to obtain hull form characteristics and capacities. Vessel attitude is displayed graphically and in text on the screen. Report information, text and graphs, can be shown on the screen, edited, printed, saved or exported to other Windows applications.

  • Autoload® Onboard Stability and Stowage Planning
Autoload® is a DNV type approved 3D based onboard stability and strength simulation system. The software covers all aspects of ship-load planning and can be fully integrated into the global information system of the shipping company....

  • Autoload® is a robust, intuitive, user-friendly program that offers a simple to understand display of key hydrostatic values that are critical for safe vessel operation. Autoload® frees the user to focus on critical decisions while it takes care of the calculations. The base system uses a 3D model and has easy to use controls for weights, tank loads and external forces such as wind. Additional modules can be added for more complex control of weights.

The Bay Plan module handles containers, the Deck Plan deals with Ro-Ro cargo and the Crane module simulates the effect of lifting dry and/or immersed cargo with single or double cranes. For every module, the stability and strength parameters are updated as cargo is moved, providing up-to-the-minute guidance on safety and compliance.

Autoload® can also be connected directly to the fleet’s booking system to import cargo booking and vessel scheduling data. 3D Cargo stowage plans are easily developed in deck plan views. Autoload® also connects to the on-board tank sensor system.
