BARplast offers high performance polymer semi-finished shapes and finished parts through manufacturing processes like CNC machining, injection moulding, compression moulding, direct forming, and tailor-made production processes.
The growing demand for high performance polymers (HPP) and advance industrial optimisations lead BARplast to focus on the high temperature segment. These materials stand out as the niche of the HPP market with its wide-spread applications in the aerospace, automotive, oil & gas, electronics, food, medical and many such industries.
BARplast offers Films from 6μm up to 2000μm (0.3 mil up to 78 mil) with widths up to 1500 mm (59″) or cut to size, and Sheets starting from 1mm (39.4 mil) thickness.
PEEK Rods from OD 2″- 12″ and Tubes OD 0.4″- 118″ whereas PBI and PEI sizes starting from 0.24″ Diameter can be offered. Thermosetting PI rods OD from 0.24″- 3.3″ along with direct formed tubes from Meldin®, Vespel®, Plavis® and other PI materials. Thermoplastic Polyimide Rods OD: 0.24″- 2.4″ and Tubes OD: 0.4″- 4″ are available to be offered. PAI sizes come in the range of Rod OD 0.1″- 10″ and tubes OD up to 4″
BARplast distributes polyimide rods, sheets and finished parts from the PLAVIS brand by DAELIM Co Ltd. Polyimide rods have a length of 38 inch (965.2 mm). Polyimide has extremely high temperature resistance (932° F) while retaining its good mechanical properties in such an extreme environment. Polyimide sheets are available in the sizes 12 x 12 inches (305 x 305mm) and with thicknesses of 1/16 inch (1.6mm) to 2 inches (50.8mm). In the Oil and gas industry they can both be used as Seal and gasket, drilling, coating, electrical insulation applications.
Thermosetting polyimides, PI-s are the highest temperature resistant polymers commercially available. PLAVIS ‘S’ of Daelim Co., Ltd. presents a portfolio of aromatic polyimides with improved resistance to heat, wear, mechanical abrasion, radiation, and chemicals. Thanks to its improved properties, PLAVIS ‘S’ can be used in the most challenging and advanced applications in mechanical, electrical/electronics, chemicals, automobiles, space and aviation.
The DaelimPlavis Polyimide S-series has a continuous operating temperature of 662°F. Daelim is highly experienced in creating customer-oriented value. It is a company that produces and sells polyimide products which are high-functional plastic materials and engages in the sale of chemicals and polymers at home and abroad.
The common available PLAVIS grades are -
Plavis N – unfilled Natural Polyimide grade
Plavis G15 – 15% Graphite filled self-lubricating grade
Plavis G40 – 40% Graphite filled self-ubricating and low thermal expansion grade
Plavis MS – 15% (MoS2) molybdenum disulfide filled dry vacuum grade
Plavis C – Electrical conductivity grade
Plavis ESD – Electrostatic dissipative grade
Plavis S – unfilled Natural Polyimide with High temperature resistance
Plavis SG – high temperature resistant grade with better physical properties
Plavis S1 – high temperature, wear and plasma resistant grade
BARplast also offers Direct formed parts from the Polyimide ‘MELDIN 7000 series’ manufactured by Saint-Gobain. Other high temperature thermosetting Polyimides like VESPEL and special grades with low water absorption can be found through BARplast. BARplast sells ultra-high temperature resistant thermosetting polyimide (PI-s) products under the Dexnyl© PI-s series, with heat deflection temperature values ranging from 680°F to over 932°F.
Dexnyl© Polyimide fibers and filaments are highly temperature-resistant materials that can withstand temperatures up to 500°F without burning, making them suitable for use in fireproof clothing and other high-temperature applications.
BARplast sells polyimide capillary tubes with inside diameters ranging from 100 µ to 2 mm.
Dexnyl© PEEK rods, tubes, sheets, films and finished parts can be used in the following industries: Aerospace, Electronics, Chemical processing, Automotive, Transportation, Food etc. But for the oil and gas industry, it is used to protect pipelines and other equipment’s against harmful impact of strong chemicals, and for tubing and fittings.
BARplasts Dexnyl© PEI with temp. resistance up to 390°F is recognized for maintaining its properties even after extended exposure to steam and hot water, making it a valuable material for use in food processing equipment and medical applications that require frequent cleaning or sterilization. Over time, many different grades of PEI have been developed, including those with varying levels of glass fiber reinforcement that can further enhance the material's structural strength.
BARplast offers high performance polymer semi-finished shapes and finished parts through manufacturing processes like CNC machining, injection moulding, compression moulding, direct forming, and tailor-made production processes.
