    Cleaning with CO2 in its super critical stage improves well performance on the following points:

    The Super Critical CO2 technology recover abandoned wells, cold wells, blocked control lines (CL) and chemical injection lines (CIL) applying the following services:

    The CO2 media operates at a viscosity 10 times lower than water, penetrating organic and inorganic blockages. Media density is adjusted by temperature and/or pressure reaching its supercritical state. Turbulent flushing is performed keeping pressure. As density is increased, the media reaches a carrying capacity equivalent to oil, releasing the operated environment of debris.

  • Reducing maintenance costs and extending the lifetime of subsea pipes the Super Critical CO2 technology flushes control lines and similar systems pre-installation to achieve higher standards of cleanliness beyond what has been achievable ever before.

    A super critical state means a CO2 with the viscosity of gas and the density of the fluid combined with a turbulent flushing resulting in an incredibly effective method of carrying and removing particles from long and narrow lines.

    The figure compares a laminar flow leaving a particle layer greater than 0.01mm to a turbulent flow leaving particles below 0.001mm only. The same is visualized in samples: the first from a 4 km line before the Super Critical CO2 flush and the latter showing the same line after ca. 2 hours flushing with Super Critical CO2 technology, respectively.

    This operation can also be performed onshore on coils.

  • Raising pipes and Xmas trees to the topside to change parts of the well or subsea system or abandoning the bore and its related systems is past. Complex and expensive procedures are now replaced with the Super Critical CO2 technology.

    The new purification technology allows flushing of even very long pipes with a narrow inner diameter.

    CO2 reaches its super critical state when the CO2 liquid is heated above its boiling point under pressure enough to prevent the medium from transitioning to a gaseous state.

    Advantageous properties include:
